2023 CAMP DATES

1.______ June 26 - June 30 - Everything Horse camp all levels: $400 (early bird pays $350) 9am-3pm


2. ______July 3 to July 7 – Everything Horse camp all levels $400 (early bird pays $350) 9amto 3pm


3. ______July 17 to July 21 – INTRO to Eventing week $400  (early bird pays $350) 9am-3pm


4.______ July 24 - July 28 – Games & Show week: $450 Farm fair trip (early bird pays $400) 9-4pm


5.______Aug 7 to Aug 11 – Eventing Camp $450 (early bird pays $400) 9am-3pm


6. _____Aug 14 to Aug 18 - ADULT HORSE CAMP  Horse training, riding lesson, round penning, trail rides, lunging,  clipping, bathing, show readiness, braiding and advance horse care etc $400 (early bird pays $350) 9am to 3pm

 
 

EVERYTHING HORSE : You name it, we do it, riding, bathing, clipping, bareback, water play, get dirty....... all the good stuff!!!!  Pure camp fun, Horses, bareback, dirt, fresh air and learning all in one!!!! Campers learn about feeding the horses and taking care of them and then learn to ride and have a lot of fun getting to know their new four legged friends and two legged!! More advanced riders will have a primary focus on Jumping and flatwork technique, Gridwork and Height . (Riders must be able to canter confidently and started over Cross rails.) This camp is open to ANYONE ay ANY level.
 

* INTRO to EVENTING CAMP: This camp is for those kids that want to learn all about riding over a course of jumps even if they are ground poles, they learn to ride a dressage test which is a pattern, they have walk tests and walk trot tests, then they learn how to safely navigate a course of little obstacles on the grass area and work on their trail obstacle skills. REALLY fun for beginner riders and for the rider that needs a confidence builder camp. 


*EVENTING CAMP: Fun three event week, Show jumping from cross rails to 2'6', Cross country around the property or in a secure grass area for the beginners over smaller obstacles. Dressage in the ring.  - Friday is competition day so we train all week! Ribbons Awarded on Friday for the winners and a pizza lunch. Guest judge on the Friday. Riders must be able to walk trot independently and be able to hold their "2 - point" or Jump position.


*Games and Show week, This is usually the week of FARM FAIR. This year we would like to go and do the show there, including GAME DAY!!!! So we will practice at home and then go have fun at the Fair. This is a SUPER fun week!! (Price reflects the trailering of the horses to the Fair.) Trip to the fair WITH horses is contingent on heat and weather conditions.


*ADULT HORSE CAMP: ADULT ONLY camp - Weekly rate is listed above or $85 for the day .  

This includes your rides and a Catered lunch on Friday and a guest speaker for one or two of the days and all the fun of the kids camp but its just for the ADULTS. So get your ideas for your barn design because we will have a barn design competition!!! We will learn about show prep and braiding, proper horse shaving techniques and styles plus mane pulling and dressage and so much more!!!

 
Prices for the full week of camp are listed above or it is $85$ day. Camp starts at 0900 and pick up time is 300pm unless otherwise stated. $200 deposit to secure slot. NON REFUNDABLE.

What to wear:

Campers  should arrive wearing Long pants, Muck or rain boots.

Riding boots must have a heel for riding, you can NOT ride in sneakers.  Helmets are available for loan. Rain boots a MUST and sneakers for later in the day.

Our Horse back riding Camps in Spring,  Summer of 2023 and Winter 2023 are located on site at Suffolk Stables and cover everything a person needs to know when it comes to horses,  so come out and just have FUN. 


At Suffolk, safety and fun are our main priorities. We provide a secure environment for students to ride, learn and grow...all while having fun and developing new relationships. It is our desire that all students at Suffolk Stables be equipped with the tools and knowledge to achieve their goals both in and out of the horse riding ring.


We have horse camps on our farm for the Spring , we also do a November 'Schools out' camp and a Winter Camp during winter break. Dates as follows;


Spring Break Camp: April 10 - Apr 14th.  All Ages First time Beginner through Intermediate riders (canter and jump)


November Camp: TBD


Winter Camp:  Dec 26-29 2023
